Kevin Cole

Meet the internationally renowned artist behind the celebrated biography Straight from the Soul. The book forward, written by Dr. David C. Driskell -Distinguished University of Maryland, Professor of Art, (Emeritus), provides artistic insight into Cole’s “Soul”. An extraordinary multi-award winning artist, educator, and author, Cole uses color and repetitive forms to create three dimensional structures. Cole’s abstract structures often reference the “necktie” in a contemporary thought provoking manner. Signed copies of his book are available in the gallery.

Darrell Walker and Kevin Cole met while attending the University of Arkansas. “Walker's zeal for collecting art began while on the road as a player with the New York Knicks, Denver Nuggets, and Washington Bullets (now the Wizards) and later as an NBA coach”. See Cole’s recent work and hear both men share their perspective on collecting and investing in African American art.
