WORK: 1999-2015

March 6, 2015 - April 11, 2015

Opening Reception March 6 6PM—9PM

Bauer’s WORK: 1999—2015 is a survey of work created in St. Louis (1999-2007) and work created while living in New York (2008-2014). “Her work represents an abstracted non-linear autobiography where mark making evolves into surging waves, wind, light, and landscape.” Bauer has maintained studios in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen, New York’s Hudson River Valley and her home town: St. Louis, Missouri.

Jenna Bauer is a multidisciplinary artist. Her practice consists of painting, printmaking, drawing, and social sculpture: developing not-for-profit arts organizations, teaching and creating opportunities for arts education. Jenna Bauer founded South City Open Studio and Gallery for Children, SCOSAG (now known as ArtScope) in 2002. In 2004, with the support from the arts community, developed the annual fundraiser for ArtScope known as Wall Ball.
